About the event
The Cleveland Way National Trail covers 109 miles of rugged Yorkshire landscapes. Setting off from the pretty market town of Helmsley, the route marches across beautiful, heather-clad moorland of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, before reaching the wild Yorkshire coast at Saltburn-by-the-Sea. From here, we then wind our way south along majestic cliffs, wide reaching views and pretty coastal settlements. The trail passes through many areas of historical importance, with ruined Abbeys, Priories and castles strewn along the path, seaside towns such as Robin Hood’s Bay, famous for its smugglers caves and Whitby with its grand Abbey and it’s link to Bram Stoker and Dracula.
